Teens arrested after robbery on city bus

Advertiser Staff

Two teens were arrested late Tuesday night after allegedly robbing a 16-year-old on board a city bus, police said.

The victim, 16, was riding a bus from Waikiki and was confronted by an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old male. The 18-year-old allegedly had a knife and both teens demanded money from the victim, police said. The victim gave the money and reported the incident to the bus driver, who stopped the bus at the Chinatown police substation.

Police arrested the suspects on suspicion of robbery in the first degree. They were released pending investigation.
