Jetstar offers $289 one-way fare Honolulu to Sydney

Jetstar, the new discount airline operated by the Qantas Group, is offering a $289 one-way fare between Honolulu and Sydney or Melbourne to commemorate the start of its service between Australia and Hawai'i.The air carrier said the fare sale will last through Jan. 7, Australian Eastern Time and is good for travel between Feb. 1 and March 31, 2007. Jetstar started service today with a flight from Sydney.
The carrier's schedule operates three weekly Sydney-Honolulu flights and twice-weekly service between Melbourne and Honolulu. The carrier's international flights are aboard 330-passenger Airbus 330 aircraft.
