Oregon State rallies to down Missouri in Sun Bowl

Oregon State quarterback Matt Moore passed for 356 yards and the Beavers converted on a two-point conversion in the final seconds to rally past Missouri, 39-38, today in the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas.

After Moore passed 14 yards to Joe Newton for a score with 22 seconds left to play, Oregon State decided to go for a two-point converstion try with the score 38-37.

Yvenson Bernard ran the ball up the middle for two to make it 39-38.

Missouri, which led 38-24 in the fourth quarter, attempted two passes on its final series, which ended with the Tigers trying to lateral the ball in order to score. But Missouri was called for illegal forward pass on the final play.

Oregon State, which beat USC and ended Hawaii's nine-game winning streak this regular-season, finished 10-4 after a 2-3 start.

Missouri finished 8-5.
