UH foes in upcoming bowl games

Two teams who played the University of Hawaii in football will be in bowl games today.

In the Sun Bowl in El Paso, Texas, Oregon State, which ended UH's nine-game winning streak with a 35-32 win Dec. 2, will play Missouri.

In the Champs Sports Bowl in Orlando, Fla., Purdue, which lost 42-35 Nov. 25, will play Maryland.

On Sunday, Nevada, which lost to UH 41-34 Oct. 7, will play Miami of Florida in MPC Computers Bowl in Boise, Idaho.

On Monday, Western Athletic Conference champion Boise State will play Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz. Boise State beat UH, 41-34, Sept. 23. It was UH's last defeat until the Oregon State game.
