Civil Defense: High surf caused no big problems

State Civil Defense said this morning that no major problems resulted from last night's expected high surf.A more detailed look will carried out after sunrise, but initial reports are that little if any sand hit Kamehameha Highway overnight and it remained open for morning commuters.
Civil Defense had several volunteers spread out around the island last night monitoring the potentially damaging high surf.
