Advertiser Staff

The condition of two individuals injured in a one-vehicle crash this morning at Turtle Bay Resort has been upgraded from critical to serious but stable, a city Emergency Services official said.

A van carrying three people crashed into a tree on the resort's property, injuring three people. Emergency Services personnel and Honolulu firefighters responded to the accident at 10:14 a.m., and a helicopter is airborne and en route to the crash site, according to police and Emergency Medical Services officials.

A 45-year-old woman and a 24-year-old man were transported to Kahuku Hospital then airlifted to The Queen's Medical Center, said Emergency Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic. The van's driver, a 28-year-old man, was transported by ambulance to Queen's. He was last reported to be in critical condition.
