HO'OKIPA SURF CLASSIC

Entries are being accepted for the Ho'okipa Surf Classic, Jan. 13, 14, 20 and 21 on Maui.

Proceeds go to help beautify Ho'okipa Beach Park with native plants.

The contest, run by the Surfrider Foundation, Maui Chapter, features 11 divisions.

HAWAI'I RUSH SOCCER

The Hawai'i Rush Soccer Club is offering a developmental program at two locations for boys and girls ages 6 to 10.

A program for Central and West O'ahu is scheduled for Wednesdays starting Jan. 17 at Mililani Mauka Community Park, from 5 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.

An East O'ahu program on Fridays begins Jan. 19 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. at Manoa Valley District Park.

Saturday games are involved for both programs and may require travel.

BIG BOYZ FOOTBALL

A sign-up for the Westside Warriors Big Boyz youth tackle football team is tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kamokila Park in Kapolei.

Players must be 12 to 14 years old and weigh 150 to 350 pounds.

The league, run by John Federick, starts next month.

ALOHA GYMFEST

The 31st annual Aloha Gymfest is scheduled for Jan. 12 to 14 at Kailua High School gym.

Admission is $3 children and $6 for adults on Jan. 12, and $5 children and $10 adults for Jan. 13 and 14.
