Maui film fans can feast on movies that have that special Oscar buzz at the Maui Film Festival's continuing First Light screenings.

The schedule:

  • Today: noon, "An Inconvenient Truth" (PG); 2 p.m., "10 Items or Less" (R); 5 p.m., "Letters from Iwo Jima" (R); 7:30 p.m., "Miss Potter" (PG); 9:30 p.m., "The Dead Girl" (R).

  • Monday: noon, "Open Season" (PG); 2 p.m., "Arthur and the Invisibles" (PG); 5 p.m., "The Cave of the Yellow Dog" (PG); 7:30 p.m., "Venus" (R).

    All films screen at the Maui Arts & Cultural Center's Castle Theater. Tickets are $10 general, $5 for kids under 12 for films that are rated PG. www.mauifilmfestival.com.
