Former Rainbow Wahine soccer star Kai to help at speed camp

Advertiser Staff

The best female soccer player in Hawai'i history, Natasha Kai, will be the featured instructor at this weekend's Hawai'i Speed and Quickness clinics at the University of Hawai'i athletic complex.

"It's a lot of fun, and it keeps me active to work with the kids," said the former Rainbow Wahine, who has been invited to training camp with the full U.S. Women's National soccer team.

Kai said she uses many of the clinics' techniques — first-step quickness and proper running form — in her soccer training.

Sessions are $10 each, and will be conducted tomorrow and Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. (for ages 7-12) and 10:30 a.m. to noon (for 13 and older).
