A new kind of plumeria will be at the 2006 Home Building & Remodeling Show at Blaisdell Exhibition Hall. The plant blooms all year, is easy to care for and can grow up to 10 feet.

More than 130 contractors, suppliers, landscapers, designers and furniture specialists are ready with advice on building or rebuilding your nest at the 12th Annual BIA-Hawaii Home Building and Remodeling Show, continuing from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. tomorrow at the Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.

There are cooking demonstrations, too, including TV chef Martin Yan at 7:30 p.m. today. Carole Mito will create 13 courses in 60 minutes using six microwave ovens at 2 p.m. tomorrow.
