25-foot waves possible today; new swell coming

Advertiser Staff

A high surf warning remains in effect on the north- and west-facing shores of O'ahu today, with wave heights possibly reaching 25 feet. Yesterday's waves topped 30 feet.

The high surf peaked last night and is expected to drop throughout the day and by tomorrow be between 10 and 15 feet on north-facing shores, according to the National Weather Service. West-facing shores will drop off to 5 to 10 feet by tomorrow.

Another swell is expected to arrive on Wednesday, again bringing high surf to the north- and west- facing shores.
