Two identified in fatal Wai'anae car crash

Advertiser Staff

The city Department of the Medical Examiner this morning identified two young people killed early yesterday morning in a one-car crash on Pa'akea Road in Wai'anae as Jocelyn Plunkett-Ka'aihue, 19, of Waipahu, and Cresile Sabado, 15, also of Waipahu.

A 16-year-old boy who was a passenger in the back seat remained in critical condition this morning at The Queen's Medical Center, police said.

Police traffic investigators believe the 2004 Nissan Maxima being driven by Plunkett-Ka'aihue was speeding along Pa'akea Road, went through a dip in the road and became airborne and before striking a wooden utility pole near Apana Road.
