High-surf advisory canceled

The National Weather Service today canceled a high-surf advisory on the north- and west-facing shores of O'ahu.Waves on north-facing shores are expected to be between 8 and 12 feet. West-facing shores are expected to get waves between 4 and 8 feet.
A new west/northwest swell is expected to enter Hawai'i waters tomorrow and push waves back up to advisory levels 15 feet on north- and west-facing shores, according to the National Weather Service.
Wave heights are expected to increase further on Thursday.
