Public's help asked in finding man wanted in DOH fire

Police want to question this man in connection with a fire Jan. 31.

Police are looking for a man who is wanted for questioning in connection with the fire that occurred Jan. 31 at the Department of Health building located at 1250 Punchbowl Street. Surveillance cameras at the DOH picked up images of the suspect.

At 6:20 p.m. Jan. 31, a fire broke out at the front entrance of the DOH building. Fire investigators determined the fire was deliberately set and a gas can was recovered from a trash bin near the scene.

When the fire started, witnesses told police the suspect fled on foot, police said. After searching the area state Deputy Sheriff's returned to the scene but the witnesses had left, police said.
