JOAQUIN P. BELMONTE SR., 93, of Kahului, Maui, died Feb. 4, 2006. Born in Abra, Philippines. A construction laborer for Nakakura Construction Co. Survived by wife, Soledad; son, Joaquin "Jake" Jr.; stepsons, Rolando and Marlon Arciaga; stepdaughter, Benilda Daquis; brother, Cirilo Belmonte; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
