Warriors upset No. 1 Pepperdine in volleyball

Outside hitter José José Delgado hammered 16 kills, served two aces and contributed to six blocks to power the University of Hawai'i volleyball team to a 30-26, 30-20, 30-21 upset of top-ranked Pepperdine Friday night in Malibu, Calif.In improving to 5-4 overall and 3-3 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, the Warriors avenged Thursday night's loss to the Waves.
The Waves fell to 7-2 both overall and in the MPSF. It was their second loss in two years in the Firestone Fieldhouse.
