Rainbow Warriors end road losing streak, 73-64

Associated Press

BOISE, Idaho — Julian Sensley scored 22 points, including a key 3-pointer with 35 seconds left, as Hawai'i broke a 10-game losing streak on the road Saturday by defeating Boise State, 73-64.

Hawaii (13-8, 7-4 Western Athletic Conference) last won on the road against San Jose State a year ago. It was the first home-game loss to the Rainbow Warriors in four years for Boise State (12-11, 5-7 WAC).

Coby Karl led the Broncos with 26 points, including five 3-pointers. Kareem Lloyd had 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Hawai'i led 66-62 with 1:08 left after Karl hit a 3-pointer. Sensley countered with a 3-pointer of his own to put the Rainbow Warriors up 69-62. Matt Lojeski finished Hawai'i's scoring with four free throws in the final seconds.

Three other Rainbow Warriors contributed double figures: Lojeski with 16, Ahmet Gueye with 14 and Deonte Tatum with 13.

Hawai'i shot just over 50 percent from the field. Boise State hit just 37 percent of its field-goal attempts.
