ON KAUA'I: Hanalei Colony Resort is offering the Honeymoon Hideaway package, through Dec. 19, which includes five or seven nights' accommodations in a two-bedroom ocean-view or premium oceanfront condo, a convertible rental car, a two-hour guided tour of tropical Limahuli Garden, a his-and-hers massage, and a romantic gift on arrival. Three award-winning golf courses offer the 2006 Kaua'i Golf Challenge. The package provides a round of golf at Po'ipu Bay Golf Course on Kaua'i's south shore, the Kiele Course at Kaua'i Lagoons Golf Club on the island's east coast and the Prince Course at Princeville at Hanalei on the north shore. The 15-day workshop starts March 25 in Beijing with an itinerary that includes the famed terra-cotta warriors and the Great Wall of China, agricultural villages, rice terraces, night markets and the old town of Shanghai.

Photographic instruction offers technical expertise with practice as you go. The workshops are open to anyone interested in photography. Each shoot is followed by a discussion on results and experiences. The workshops cover topics such as capturing intimacy and expression, using light for drama, capturing motion and shooting for context. It costs $1,900, excluding airfare.
