UH's Rodrigues is WAC pitcher of the week

University of Hawai'i pitcher Mark Rodrigues was named the Western Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, the conference office announced today.Rodrigues, a senior from Koloa, Kaua'i, pitched seven shutout innings in UH's 3-1 series-clinching victory over UC irvine yesterday.
Rodrigues gave up two hits and no walks while striking out two batters. At one point he retired 12 consecutive batters as UH took the series, two games to one.
UH outfielder Matt Inouye was nominated for the hitter of the week honor that went to Fresno State outfielder Steve Susdorf.
