Hoku Scientific wins Nissan contract

Hoku Scientific Inc. said today the company has been awarded a new contract by Nissan Motor Co. to develop fuel cell components for Nissan cars and trucks.

The contract calls for Hoku to develop advanced hydrocarbon-based membranes and membrane electrode assemblies for proton exchange membrane fuel cells used in Nissan vehicles.

The companies will conduct joint testing of at Hoku's facility in Kapolei, and at Nissan's facility in Oppama, Japan, through September 30. The companies have worked together since March 2004.



HMSA sets job fair for Feb. 25

The Hawaii Medical Service Association is holding a job fair at its Kapolei office from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Feb. 25 to recruit job applicants for a variety of positions.

Applicants should bring a current resume and be prepared for an interview.
