UH athletic department deficit at $93,000

The University of Hawai'i athletic department lost $93,000 this 2004-05 fiscal year, according to UH athletics director Herman Frazier.The numbers were an improvement compared to the 2003-04 fiscal year when the department lost $544,000, and 2002-03 when it lost $2.4 million, Frazier said.
The 2004-05 fiscal year ended on June 30, 2005.
It is the fourth consecutive year — three of them under Frazier — that the department has operated with a deficit. The department has accumulated $4.5 million in net deficit since 2002, according to auditors.
