UH tops Santa Clara in men's basketball

Julian Sensley scored 20 of his game-high 25 points in the second half to lead Hawaii to a come-from behind win over Santa Clara, 67-57, in a nonconference matchup Saturday night.Matt Lojeski added 16 points for Hawaii (14-9, 7-5 Western Athletic Conference) and Ahmet Gueye had a double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Rainbow Warriors.
Travis Niesen led Santa Clara (9-15, 2-9 West Coast Conference) with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Brandon Rohe added 13 points for the Broncos.
Sensley's free throws with 9:18 remaining gave Hawaii its first lead of the game, 48-47, and capped a 13-4 Rainbow run, keyed by 11 points from Sensley.
Santa Clara did not make a field goal in the final 6:53 of the game. It led by as much as 12 points, 28-16, with 5:18 remaining in the first half.
Sensley's fast break jumper, his first points of the game, with 3:43 remaining in the half broke a 6:21 scoreless span for Hawaii. Santa Clara led 32-24 at halftime.
