TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Cast Away" (2000), 7 p.m., ABC. There is something fascinating about the notion of putting modern people onto a deserted island. From "Robinson Crusoe" to "Survivor," that has our attention. This film links the "Forrest Gump" team of director Robert Zemeckis and star Tom Hanks. It has its slow points, but manages to find humor, drama and a chance for viewers to ask "What would I do?"

OF NOTE

"Hustle," 4 p.m., AMC. Slick and smart, this British series is fun to watch, depicting talented con artists. The first six episodes rerun, starting at 2 p.m.; then a new one airs at 8 p.m.

"Jurassic Park" (1993, Bravo) and "Jaws" (1975, A&E), both 6 p.m. Steven Spielberg competes against himself. He's a master director, easily able to make sharks and dinosaurs seem tremendously scary.

"NCIS," 7 p.m., NBC. In this rerun, the FBI thinks Gibbs' former commanding officer is a traitor. Gibbs is ordered to bring him in.

"Without a Trace," 8 p.m., CBS. Bill Brochtrup ("NYPD Blue") guests in this rerun. He plays someone who argued with a psychic shortly before she disappeared.

"Anna's Dream" (2002), 8 p.m., Pax. The true story of a teen gymnast, rebuilding her life after being paralyzed, is told competently enough here. Richard Thomas and Connie Sellecca play her parents.
