UH baseball players sweep WAC awards

The University of Hawai'i's sweep of Loyola Marymount University added up to a sweep of the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference baseball players of the week awards, too.Outfielder Robbie Wilder was named the hitter of the week and righthander Steven Wright the pitcher of the week for their parts in the three-game series sweep at Los Angeles, the conference office announced today.
Wilder, a senior from Anderson, Calif., had 10 hits in 17 at-bats (.588) in the four games (including a win over Hawai'i Pacific earlier in the week).
Wright, a junior from Moreno Valley, Calif., allowed just one unearned run in a complete game 3-1 victory over LMU Friday. He struck out 10 batters and walked none.
