Iolani faces Kalaheo at Radford in state tourney

The state's No. 1-ranked team, Iolani, will begin play Wednesday in the boys state high school basketball tournament.

Iolani, the four-time defending champion, will play No. 9 Kalaheo in an 8 p.m. quarterfinal game at Radford.

No. 8 Kahuku plays No. 5 Baldwin in an earlier game at 6 p.m.

In the other quarterfinal games at McKinley gym, No. 2 Kamehameha will play No. 4 Kamehameha-Hawaii at 6 p.m., followed at 8 by No. 6 Kaimuki against No. 10 Campbell.

In Tuesday's game, Kahuku's Junior Ale scored 34 points in the Red Raiders' 67-63 victory over Honoka'a. His totals were incorrectly reported online Tuesday night.
