Macavity is there

Using eyeliner pencil, Shayne Taylor landscaped Macavity's features first with a "V" shape from his hairline to just above his nose, mapped out several key outlines on his face, then smudged his cheeks, his eyelids and his mouth area with white highlighter. With a small brush, he intermittently dipped into paint containers of white, red and black, diluted the hues in water, and started colorizing his face. His wig/hairpiece had streaks of red, orange and shades suggesting autumnal colors, and was deliberately disheveled to create an unkempt look.
"Your 'V' is too large; get it off," said makeup artist Bryan Furer. "And leave the 'dots' till last," he said of the black spots on a whitened area just above Taylor's mouth that helps create the cat look. Taylor took a little more than an hour to go from paintless to painted mug.
