Sensley's 3-pointer stuns San Jose State, 61-60

Julian Sensley hit a 3-point basket with 2.2 seconds left to lift Hawai'i to a 61-60 victory over host San Jose State in a Western Athletic Conference men's basketball game today.

Hawai'i is 16-9 overall and 9-5 in the WAC. San Jose State, which led the entire game until Sensley's basket, is 6-22 and 2-12.

Alex Elam hit a 17-footer with 36 seconds left to give San Jose State to a 60-58 lead. On the ensuing possession, Sensley turned over the ball. Hawai'i's Matt Lojeski fouled Carlton Spencer, who missed the first free throw and UH's Chris Botez rebounded with 11 seconds left.

After a time out, Sensley hit his winning basket with an assist from Deonte Tatum.

Ahmet Gueye led UH with 19 points and 8 rebounds. Lojeski had 14 points and Sensley 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Elam and Spencer each had 15 points for San Jose State.
