Kama'aina rates for Waikiki getaway
The Hilton Hawaiian Village Beach Resort & Spa has a kama'aina spring rate of $150 per room, March 3-26. The resort's Mandara Spa, wildlife menagerie (don't miss the colony of penguins), art collection, and more than 20 dining outlets can make a stay feel like a true getaway. Monk-seal watch: Sheraton Kauai Resort has launched a weekly educational program about the Hawaiian monk seal with the help of the Kaua'i Monk Seal Watch Program. At 6 p.m. Wednesdays, the resort gives a 45-minute presentation with slide photos in the hotel's The Point Lounge. Earth Care discount in British columbia: Vancouver's Pacific Palisades Hotel is offering a 10 percent Earth Care discount for room rates found online or at the hotel's reservations desk.
