UH tops USC in men's volleyball

Jose Jose Delgado hammered 20 kills to lead the University of Hawaii to a 30-18, 30-26, 27-30, 30-24 volleyball victory over Southern California on Monday night in the Lyons Center in Los Angeles.In winning their sixth in a row, the Warriors improved to 10-4 overall and 8-3 in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
The Trojans fell to 8-10 and 5-8.
Matt Carere contributed 18 kills and Lauri Hakala had 14 for the Warriors.
UH also amassed 18.5 blocks.
Juan Figueroa had 20 kills for the Trojans.
The rematch will be Tuesday at USC's North Gym at 5 p.m., Hawaii time.
