Advertiser Staff

A 36-year-old man found dead in the back of a parked car at Kailua Beach on Saturday has been identified.

Wallis Yoshino, Honolulu, died of a heart attack, according to the office of the City Medical Examiner. The results of a toxicology test are still pending.

Police said the man had gone to a concert in the park and was drinking heavily before passing out in the car.

He was found at 11:20 p.m. while police were inspecting cars left in the parking lot after the concert. Officers woke Yoshino's companion, who was in the front seat, but were unable to revive Yoshino.

When Yoshino did not respond, officers performed CPR and called an ambulance. Yoshino was pronounced dead at Castle Medical Center.
