Rainbow Wahine Sanders is WAC Player of the Week

The University of Hawai'i's Amy Sanders was named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.Sanders averaged 12.5 points and seven rebounds a game in the Rainbow Wahine's two wins over Kent State last week. The senior from Huntington Beach, Calif., also averaged 2.5 assists as UH extended its winning streak to seven games.
Sanders leads UH in scoring (12.9 points), 3-point shots made (13) and 3-point field goal percentage (.351).
The Rainbow Wahine open WAC play Thursday at Nevada.
