Pearl City rallies past Nanakuli in OT, 50-49

Rollie Salvacion scored 18 points, including 2-of-3 free throws after time expired in overtime, lifting visiting Pearl City over Nanakuli, 50-49, last night in the O'ahu Interscholastic Association Western Division opener for both teams.

With the Chargers trailing 49-48, Salvacion launched a 3-pointer at the buzzer and was fouled. He made the first, missed the second and drained the third to give the Chargers the victory.

Pearl City forced overtime when Travis Cruz hit a 3-pointer with 23 seconds left in regulation to tie the game at 47.

Micahel Patronis scored 14 points, Travis Hulama 11 and Levi Luavasa 10 for the Golden Hawks.
