U2 has been on a blitz of sell-out shows, with 78 concerts in North America and 32 in Europe since last March, when the tour was launched in San Diego.

So far, the group's "Vertigo" tour has played to 3.4 million fans and has brought in nearly $140 million worldwide, second only to the Rolling Stones in 2005 revenue.

The group is up for Album of the Year, Song of the Year ("Sometimes You Can't Make It on Your Own"), Best Performance by a Duo or Group, Best Rock Song ("City of Blinding Lights") and Best Rock Album ("Vertigo") in the Feb. 8 Grammys.
