1895: County government was formally inaugurated in the six counties of Hawai'i. Royalist rebellion against the Republic of Hawai'i continues. Robert Wilcox and some of his men are reported to be penned in Manoa Valley.
1919: County government was formally inaugurated in the six counties of Hawai'i. Pacific Commercial Advertiser reports there have been more than 800 cases of Spanish flu at the Waipahu and 'Ewa Plantations.
