How would YOU run the state?

Advertiser Staff

Your elected legislators will get back to work at the Capitol on Jan. 18. What state issues do you want them to tackle? Roll up your own sleeves and tell us, by mail or e-mail. Meanwhile, state worker Jesus Raguindin on Thursday was cleaning algae out of the reflecting pool that surrounds the Capitol, an unending task for the staff.

With the opening of the second half of the 23rd Hawai'i State Legislature a little more than a week away — Jan. 18 is opening day — lawmakers and state officials already have a strong sense of what issues they think will be most important. But The Advertiser wants to know what issues you want to see addressed, and why.

Send us your thoughts, along with your name and e-mail address or daytime telephone number in case we need more information.

E-mails and messages may be published or distributed by The Advertiser in print, electronic and other forms.
