'Bows fall at Louisiana Tech, 65-62

Paul Millsap had 23 points and 18 rebounds to lead to lead Louisiana Tech to a 65-62 victory over Hawai'i in a Western Athletic Conference basketball game at Ruston, La., today.

Louisiana Tech is 10-6 overall and 3-0 in the WAC. Hawai'i is 8-5 and 2-1.

The Rainbow Warriors trailed 36-30 at halftime, but rallied in the second half. UH took a 57-56 lead with 2:51 remaining on a jumper by Ahmet Gueye. But Millsap hit a jumper with 2:22 to go to give Louisiana Tech the lead for good. UH had a chance to tie with two seconds remaining, but Matt Lojeski missed on a 3-point attempt.

Lojeski led UH with 15 points. Gueye and Matthew Gipson each scored 14.

Hawai'i plays at New Mexico State on Saturday.
