TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Dancing With the Stars," 7 p.m., ABC. The second week of competition begins for this show, which has added another strong competitor to the Thursday field.

OF NOTE

"The O.C.," 8 p.m., Fox. Marissa's younger sister is back from boarding school. Trouble ensues.

"Will & Grace," 7 p.m., NBC. Will asks Grace to reject a decorating job with his old boss (Lily Tomlin). Grace promises to turn it down and, of course, takes it. Soon, a secret is revealed.

"Four Kings," 7:30 p.m., NBC. This show again has some funny moments but strains too hard for them. One plot has Barry (Seth Green) insisting there must be something wrong with the terrific woman his friend set him up with. Another has two guys playing an idiotic game that has each surprising the other by punching him in the chest. We soon wonder why these guys even like each other — and why we should care.

"My Name is Earl," 8 p.m., NBC. Giovanni Ribisi is back as Ralph, the young ex-con who, unlike Earl, feels no guilt. Earl wants to make up for a hot-dog cart he stole; Ralph causes more trouble, leading to a bigger plan.

"Crumbs," 8:30 p.m., ABC. Mitch (Fred Savage) continues to have trouble. His writer's block lingers and his agent dumps him. His father is jealous of his mother's love life. If this can match last week's witty opener, ABC has another winner.

"The Office," 8:30 p.m., NBC. Two weeks ago, Jim told Michael that he secretly loves Pam. Now Michael thinks they're pals; Jim worries that the secret will soon be out.

"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. In this rerun, Sam's son has run away without his diabetes medicine. She and Kovac desperately search for him.
