THE ROOTS: FEB. 9

The Roots, the innovative Philadelphia-based hip-hop group, comes to the Pipeline Cafe Feb. 9. Doors open at 9 p.m. for the 18-and-older concert. Tickets are $35, available at Jelly's, Pipeline, Toogruvs and Dig Lifestyles.

ON THE LAUGH TRACK

A lot of comedy is in store as The Laugh Factory presents three concerts in the coming weeks. Details:

  • "Da Ali'i of Comedy, Andy Bumatai" features the Island favorite in a show at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Pikake Room of the Blaisdell Center. Tickets are $30 general, $25 advance.

  • "Da Laughrodisiac Show with Paul Ogata and Friends" is at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 at the Pikake Room. Ogata has made the jump to the Mainland looking for more fame and fortune as a comic, but will be back for this Valentine's Day event. Tickets — $55 — include a dinner buffet.

  • Comic actor Mike Epps takes the stage at 7:30 p.m. March 17 at the Blaisdell Concert Hall. Epps has had roles in the films "All About the Benjamins," "Next Friday" and "Friday After Next," among others. Tickets are $45 and $55.
