Boxing this weekend

 •  Club members thrive in healthy competition

The Hawai'i LBC Men's and Women's Regional Boxing Championships are scheduled for tomorrow and Sunday at Palolo District Park gym. Bouts begin at 7 p.m. tomorrow and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Admission for each session is $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens or children under 12. All open division winners advance to the USA Boxing Men's and Women's National Championships, at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., in May.

SPINFEST NEXT FRIDAY

The second annual SpinFest, a fundraiser for the Epilepsy Foundation of Hawai'i, is scheduled for Jan. 27 at the Honolulu Club. The 12-hour cycling marathon, hosted by multi-sport trainer Raul Boca, begins at 6 a.m. The public is invited to participate with a suggested donation of $20 per hour. For details, call 543-3910.

Sharon's Ride, the annual bike/run/walk to benefit the Epilepsy Foundation, is on Jan. 29 at Kapi'olani Community College. Features 10-, 40- and 100-kilometer rides and a 5-kilometer walk. For details, call 528-3058.
