Ice dealer gets 6 1/2-year sentence

Advertiser Staff

A 33-year-old woman was sentenced to 6 1/2 years in prison yesterday after pleading guilty to two counts of selling crystal methamphetamine, according to the U.S. attorney's office.

Judith Esmena was arrested in March 2005 after making six ice sales to an undercover Honolulu police officer over several months.

At the time of her arrest, police found 250 grams of ice in her car. Officers also seized more than $300,000.

The case was investigated by Honolulu police and federal agents.
