Weather making mess of OIA softball

Advertiser Staff

Rain is making a mess of today's Oahu Interscholastic Association softball tournament.

The semifinal playoff game between Mililani and Kailua will be moved from Central O'ahu Regional Park to Kailua field and will not be televised by OC 16.

The game is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m., weather permitting. The game was originally scheduled for 5:30 p.m. at CORP, a City & County facility that is equipped with lights.

In another change involving the OIA softball tournament, the site of the Moanalua-Pearl City game was moved multiple times. It was moved from Pearl City to Campbell to Kaimuki and is now back at Pearl City, weather permitting. The quarterfinal game will start at 3:30.

So far, those are the only changes in today's softball schedule, according to Darren Camello, who is the OIA's softball coordinator.

The OIA soccer tournament also is being held today. No announcement has been made regarding any site changes.
