BUSINESS BRIEFS
Hawai'i AAA affiliate to sell insurance

Advertiser Staff

AAA Hawaii's affiliated insurer has begun offering homeowners and auto insurance to AAA Hawaii members, State Insurance Commissioner J.P. Schmidt said today

The affiliate, the Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club, began setting up the Hawai'i business after receiving a certificate of authority from the state last June to sell insurance in Hawai'i.

"The Interinsurance Exchange of the Automobile Club has an outstanding reputation for customer service in California and in other states where they offer their members insurance," Schmidt said. "It's good news when a company decides to do business in Hawai'i, bringing competition and more choices for Hawai'i's citizens. "
