Dontcha just love podcasts? CNN news headlines on demand! Former blink-182 bassist Mark Hoppus playing new bands and espousing "Night Court"! Some couple in Mililani starting the grandaddy of all "Lost" geek podcasts from their rec room! Sweet. Wanna share with the world, too? Check out a free "Getting Started with Podcasts" lecture tonight at UH-Manoa. Indie tech consultant Bob Lew tells you how. You just listen and learn. From 7 to 9 p.m. in Krauss Hall's Yukiyoshi Room. More info at www.outreach.hawaii.edu/pnm.

BISHOP MUSEUM LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEER GUIDES

Learn about Hawai'i's natural and cultural heritage and history, then share your mana'o with visitors from around the world. Sound like a gig for you? Then join the museum's Volunteer Cultural Guide Team. The four-week training session will be held Jan. 31 through Feb 23 — 2 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays — in the Paki II conference room. Volunteers are needed to work a four-hour shift once a week; shifts can be adjusted around vacation and work schedules. To register, contact Judi McClain at 848-4180 or judim@bishopmuseum.org.
