Kailua girls turn aside 'Aiea, 1-0

Kailua defeated 'Aiea, 1-0, yesterday in an O'ahu Interscholastic Association girls soccer playoff game at Castle.

The first-round game was scoreless through regulation and two overtime periods, forcing a penalty-kick phase.

Marisa Satsuma, Courtney Kim Han and Resi Lee converted penalty kicks for Kailua, while Aiea failed to convert any.

Kalani 4, Kapolei 0: Kyla Tamayori had two goals, and Marcy Fujimoto and Mana Camara one each for Kalani.

Kalaheo 2, Leilehua 1: Lisa Fowler and Johnna Frantzen scored for Kalaheo. Gabriella Pascual scored for Leilehua.

Castle 6, Radford 2: Twins Ashley and Lauren Kanda each scored two goals, and Aili MacDonald and Shelby Furtado had one each for Castle. Mama Fiaser and Katie Douez scored for Radford.
