  • A free orientation session is scheduled by the state Department of Hawaiian Home Lands to prepare people to apply for the more than 600 house lots expected to be developed over the next year and a half. The Home Ownership Assistance Program, administered by the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, is intended to improve understanding of what it takes to apply, achieve home ownership and qualify for a loan for home-site opportunities.
