Ala Moana Beach Park swimmer dies

A man died today after after being pulled from the waters of Ala Moana Beach Park.Bystanders helped pull the man, estimated to be between 50 and 60 years old, from the water about 8:10 a.m., said Bryan Cheplic, a spokesman for the city's Emergency Services Department.
The man was taken by ambulance to Straub Clinic and Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Cheplic said. Officials said they did not have a positive identification.
