Family Day Parade will end with picnic in park

The family is in focus at the 4th Annual Family Day Parade and Picnic in the Park today.

The parade, at 10 a.m. from Fort DeRussy, down Kalakaua Avenue and ending at Kapi'olani Park, is sponsored by the Hawaii Christian Coalition.

The picnic at the park, noon to 5 p.m., features food, crafts, rides, games, displays and entertainment (Jordan Segundo, Taiko Center of the Pacific, Kapena, Family Martial Arts Center, the Pacific Fleet Rock Band, and the Royal Hawaiian Band). The drug- and alcohol-free event is sponsored by Family Day Outreach International. Admission is free. 842-0707.
