Rejuvenate Japanese-style, for rest of year, in Kalihi

All are invited to step through the chinowa (ring of renewal) crafted from ti leaves at today's Nagoshi no O-oharae, a Japanese ritual of rejuvenation for the second half of the year.
Summer games and food also will be part of the event, which begins at 4 p.m. at Hawaii Kotohira Jinsha-Hawaii Dazaifu Tenmangu, 1239 Olomea St., Kalihi.
