Picture-perfect weather expected for 4th

Advertiser Staff

Fire up the barbecue, wax the board, pull out the hiking boots, slather on the sun screen and stock up on the fireworks.

Heading into the 4th of July, the weather is expected to be absolutely gorgeous, the National Weather Service said today.

The nearly perfect weather is expected to last through Wednesday night, with very little chance of rain in sight.

What few showers that might come our way will be limited to the windward and

mauka areas, forecasters said.

The stretch of delightful trade-wind weather is expected to hang around for

the next seven days. A high-pressure system to the north of the state will

keep the trades blowing at a moderate pace.

The winds may pick up a bit as next weekend approaches and the high-pressure

system strengthens.
