HANAUMA CLEANUP — Friends of Hanauma Bay will clean up the beach, park and Kalaniana'ole Highway from Keahole Street to the Blowhole from 8:30-11 a.m. July 16. Meet in the upper picnic area adjacent to visitor center. Call Harvey Shapiro at 395-1217.

BELLOWS DEBRIS —Volunteers are needed 3-5 p.m. July 16 to clear debris from Bellows Beach. Gloves, bags and water provided, with prize drawing to follow. Look for beach cleanup signs before the second guard gate; sponsored by Hickam AFB Boy Scouts, East O'ahu Lifeguard Association, Kales Natural Foods and Keep Hawai'i Beautiful. 393-2168 or 554-2902.

POUHALA MARSH RESTORATION — The Hawai'i Nature Center is restoring Pouhala Marsh in Waipahu. Volunteers are needed July 22 to pull pickleweed and mangrove 8:30-11:30 a.m. Bring work gloves, water, hat, sunscreen, towel and change of clothes; covered footwear and long pants required. WEED & POT CLUB — Maui Nui Botanical Garden's Weed & Pot Club meets 8:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesdays at 150 Kanaloa Ave. in Kahului to work on nursery plants and perform other work. Tools, gloves and drinking water provided; bring sunscreen, wear shoes.

KANAHA POND — Join Native Hawaiian Plant Society volunteers at Kanaha Pond Wildlife Sanctuary 7:30-11 a.m. Thursdays for weeding and brush cutting; work also done at Maui Ocean Land Trust wetlands. (808) 572-6338.

MAUI TRAIL CREWS — Na Ala Hele volunteers meet Saturdays, Sundays and Tuesdays to build and clean Maui trails. Leave from Kahului Baseyard at 7:30 a.m.; bring lunch, water and sturdy shoes; tools and transportation provided. (808) 873-3509 or mark.a.peyton@hawaii.gov.
